On behalf of the American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE), we would like to invite you to become a member of the society. ASTFE was established in July 2014 to promote and forge direct collaboration in the science and applications of thermal and fluids engineering and related disciplines. It aligns itself with globally collaborative activities in the traditional areas of heat transfer and fluids engineering, as well as, in emerging areas such as those related to energy, environmental sustainability, advanced manufacturing, thermal management, and micro- and nano-scale transport phenomena. ASTFE aims at providing opportunities to promote the dissemination of information and knowledge regarding thermal and fluids engineering, both nationally and internationally. In August 2015, ASTFE held its inaugural Thermal and Fluid Engineering Summer Conference (TFESC) in New York City, USA.
ASTFE encourages the personal and professional development of young scientists and engineers, and promotes cooperation with other engineering and technical societies to enhance interactions with industry, government agencies and the public at large. Of particular interest to the Society is the organization of conferences, workshops, and other innovative, collaborative activities that bring together diverse groups in these fields.
The benefits of joining ASTFE include:
The introductory annual membership fee is $25 for students and $50 for professionals for a calendar year and those interested can join at Membership. To initiate our membership campaign, if you join in 2016, your first year will end December 31, 2017. We look forward to your participation with ASTFE and your support to help the society grow, and your association with ASTFE is greatly appreciated.
