8th Thermal and Fluids Engineering Conference will be held on March, 26-29, 2023 at University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA.
You can reserve the nearby hotels for your stay during the conference:
Those two hotels: Marriott and The Hotel are in 10-15 minutes walking distance to/from UMD Student Union where the conference will be held. The hotels and UMD campus do have shuttles that can go and take you around. Also, you can order Uber and/or taxi to/from hotels to UMD Campus.

Directions to the Stamp Student Union Building at University of Maryland (UMD)
TFEC2023 conference will be held at Stamp Student Union at University of Maryland, UMD. The address is 3972 Campus Dr, College Park, MD 20742.
Directionally-Speaking:
- If you were on Route 1 heading South – towards College Park - take a right on Campus Drive, past the “M” Circle, up the hill and take your first right onto Union Lane, and then a left into the Union Lane Garage.
- Parking fees can be paid at any of the automated pay stations.
- When you come out of the garage, the Stamp is directly in front of you.
- The Lobby is on Floor 1.
- If you reference this map, the Stamp Student Union is in grid D-9
A paid parking lot is next door to the Stamp – it’s the Union Lane Garage. Pay stations will exact $3 per hour for the opportunity to park in the garage. Pay stations accept cash and credit cards.
All signs to TFEC2023 conference will be right in front and inside in the lobby of Stamp Student Union Building.
In the Lobby is a statue of UMD mascot, Testudo. Be sure to rub his nose for good luck.

Transportations
All campus locations have a physical address that can conveniently guide you via any GPS enabled device. We recommend that you utilize this address when navigating to find the most favorable route from your location. Heading south on I-95 we recommend the following route:
- Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway East (I-495)
- I-95 South will merge to the left, joining I-495
- Take Exit 23 "201 Kenilworth Avenue Bladensburg Greenbelt"
- Proceed south on 201 in the direction of "Greenbelt Road and Bladensburg"
- At second light, turn right onto Campus Drive
- Proceed approximately two miles to U.S. Route 1
- Turn left onto U.S. Route 1
- Follow signs to turn right into the Welcome Desk parking area
Metrorail from Washington D.C.
- Take the Red Line train (toward Glenmont); transfer at the Fort Totten station to the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
- Or take the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.

It is possible to get to College Park via public transportation from the airports although it does involve several changes along the way.
From BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
- Find and follow signage to the MARC train system
- Take the Penn Line train (toward Washington, DC); get off at Union Station.
- Transfer to the Metrorail system.
- Take the Red Line train (toward Glenmont); transfer at the Fort Totten station to the Green Line train (toward Greenbelt); get off at the College Park/U of MD station.
